Making A Difference
Serving one another, showing compassion, giving generously to the poor and being mindful of the needs of others is a Biblical principal we take very seriously at Edgemont. Our desire is to share the love of Christ not just with our words, but in our actions as well. The Bible says in Jude 1:22 “And of some have compassion, making a difference.” We want to make a difference in our community by partnering with the people of Shelbyville to continue to keep it a wonderful place to raise our families.
I hope that you will consider partnering with us in this endeavor by getting involved in one or all of these ways:
1. PRAY
Please pray for our town council members, our churches, our businesses, our schools and our people.
2. TELL US ABOUT A NEED
Help us by sharing a need that you or someone in our community has that we might could help with. Or share with us an idea that you have about something we can do help our community and bring our people closer together.
3. GET INVOLVED
Volunteer your time and talents to help others and give back to our great town. We have many spots for volunteers: nursery, preschool and children can always use help (a background check is done if working in children’s areas. We have to keep our kids safe.) We need greeters and hosts to welcome guests and show them around. We need teachers and leaders in many areas. Please let us know if God is leading you in any direction of leadership or service.
